It wasn't long ago when New Zealand cafes were serving filter coffee to customers as regular practice, now espresso has become the norm. Quality loose-leaf teas are the same standard as espresso to a tea drinker yet they're easier to make than a cappuccino, don't require an expensive machine, stay fresh for months and best of all, have a good profit margin. 

All customers receive full training notes, laminated menu cards, optional branded storage tins, and point of sale information along with ongoing brand support.

Getting started

Having decided to stock Tea Total products, we realise that, with the best of intentions, it's still difficult to know where to start.  Below we've outlined some of our better selling teas along with how best to serve and store them. This is a starting point only as needs will vary from business to business.  We can easily assist with your specific requirements when you call.

You're welcome to choose any tea from our list, to simplify things, many cafés have chosen to use our Café Selection for their standard menu.

Tea Service

Filter Bags
One of the hurdles to acceptance of loose-leaf teas in commercial kitchens is ease of service.  Many cafes cannot deal with loose-leaf disposal or have teapots without spout filters. Our filter bags overcome all these problems.  Specially designed to infuse large leaf tea, filter bags can be filled ahead of time and are easy to discard once used.

Tea for Two Glass Teapots
Both functional and spectacular, Trendglas glassware, manufactured in Europe to the highest standard. Pictured right, the Tea For Two teapot makes exactly two cups.  An internal filter retains tea leaves which can be easily emptied.  The DUO is completely dishwasher safe.  Replacement lids and infusers are readily available.

Bee House Ceramic Teapots
If glass teapots are a little fragile for your work environment we recommend the Bee House ceramic teapot.  These sturdier teapots come complete with hinged stainless steel lid and stainless mesh infuser. The Bee House has all the functionality of glass without the fragility.

Servo Stainless Steel Teapots
Manufactured specifically for Tea Total, the Servo teapot ticks all the boxes.  Unbreakable, non-drip, easy to clean and with a cool touch handle. Pictured right, the Servo teapot comes in two sizes, 360ml making around two cups and 600ml making around three cups.  Replacement lids and infusers are readily available.

Ginger Spiced Thai

The next 'big thing' in hot beverages - Bengal Chai.  A mouth watering blend of black tea with spices, this milky, sweetened tea is proving hugely popular around the country.  Not only is Bengal Chai easy to make, it costs less than half of other chai varieties, as long as your prepared to spend 10 minutes in the kitchen! Alternatively, we supply a 2 litre concentrate using spices similar to Bengal Chai called Ginger Spiced Chai.  This is simply mixed 50:50 with milk and steamed to produce a great tasting drink.  Each bottle makes around 25 serves, will last up to 12 months unopened and 1 month (refrigerated) once opened. Bulk and Retail Bags
1kg, 500g & 250g bags	Minimum order quantity for wholesale customers is one kilo. This can be made up of 250 gram, 500 gram or 1 kilo bulk bags of any tea. 100g bags colour coded for different tea varieties

Retail Opportunities

All Tea Total teas are available in 100g retail bags or tins (see Packaging options).  We also offer a great range of gift ideas.  If your customers are enjoying drinking tea in your establishment, why not offer them the option of taking some home?

Our purpose built retail stand displays nine facings of tea with each prong holding up to six bags.

Terms of Trading

Minimum order quantity for wholesale customers is 1 kilo. This can be made up of 200, 250 or 500 gram bags of any tea. Freight charges are additional.  Payment terms payment before receipt until a credit application has been received.

How to open an Account

As long as you're a commercial operation, all you need do is send us your credit application.  (Click here to print out a credit application PDF.  Please note, we require new customers to pay in advance for the first order).  Then all we need is to find out which teas, teapots and tins you require, allow 1-3 days for delivery depending on where you are and you're away!
